Atlanta-Based Connect With Kids Wins Daytime Emmy® for “Outstanding Children/Youth/Family Special"

Teen Sexuality Program Recognized For Excellence

Connect with Kids is winner of 19 Emmy awards and nominations

ATLANTA, GA (September 11, 2006) — CWK Network, the Atlanta-based company that produces the Connect with Kids television series, recently won a Daytime Emmy® for “Outstanding Children/Youth/Family Special.” Connect with Kids wrote and produced “Reality Matters: Teen Sexuality” which appeared on the Discovery Health network. The program deals with teen sexuality and portrays real kids and parents coping with the challenges and finding successful solutions.

The Connect with Kids winning team includes Stacey Dewitt, executive producer; Collin Siedor, executive producer/writer; Clare Roy, producer; and Karen Savage, producer/writer. The Emmy award was presented in New York recently during the 33rd Annual Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Awards by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. This win brings Connect with Kids' total number of Emmy awards and nominations to 19.

This year’s Emmy-winning program is one of more than 100 television programs that Connect with Kids has produced. The company’s half-hour specials feature real kids sharing their true stories about teen issues such as drinking, peer pressure, dating – dozens of topics in all. Kids like the fact that the programs are real because they can relate; parents get advice from experts about how to help their own children.

The shows are broadcast on more than 60 television stations throughout the country on major network affiliates and reach 65 percent of U.S. households. They also are shown in hundreds of schools and community organizations. The programs have one focus – improving the lives of children and along the way, helping parents become better parents. Among other topics covered in the series are bullying, ethics, safe driving, body image, Internet safety, prescription and over-the-counter drug use, raising teenagers, depression and more. Previews of all programs can be found at the company’s website (www.connectwithkids.com).
