Entry Deadline Nears for 2007 TAMY Awards and Technology Marketing Executive of the Year Award

Annual awards recognize successful campaigns and individual leadership in the technology marketing community

ATLANTA TAG Marketing, a society of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and Georgia’s premier organization for technology marketing events and networking, seeks entries for two prestigious annual award categories: the 2007 TAMY Awards and the Technology Marketing Executive of the Year Award. The deadline to submit entries is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20.

Winners will be announced at the TAG Marketing breakfast on Thursday, May 17. For more information or for downloadable applications and nomination forms, visit www.tagonline.org/tamy-awards.php. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

This is the second year that TAG Marketing will name a Technology Marketing Executive of the Year, an award based on peer nominations for a marketing executive who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, either at a technology company or in a technology role within a non-technology corporation.

“TAG Marketing recognizes the importance of the efforts, leadership and foresight of the individuals who have made a positive impact not on only their own company’s results, but also on the advancement of technology marketing as a whole,” said Micky Long, president of TAG Marketing.

The 2007 TAMY Awards will recognize both small and large organizations that have demonstrated significant and measurable accomplishments in one of five specific categories. The company or its affiliate must be currently active in technology in Georgia, and the marketing program entered must have been managed entirely from Georgia. In addition, the programs/tactics submitted must have been carried out primarily during the 2006 calendar year.

“We continue to be amazed at the ingenuity and results achieved by our TAMY Award applicants,” said Ed Gandia, TAG Marketing awards chair. “Participation in the TAMY Awards hit a record last year, and we expect even more interest for our sixth annual awards in 2007.”

An award will be given to one emerging firm (revenues less than $10 million) and one large company (revenues over $10 million) in each of five award categories: Corporate Repositioning, Marketing for Growth, Marketing to the “C” Level, Customer Marketing and Marketing Tactic.|

  • TechDiscovery – Corporate Repositioning Award (Emerging Firm)
  • Trusted Network Technologies – Marketing for Growth Award (Emerging Firm)
  • Definition 6 – Marketing Tactic Award (Emerging Firm)
