WHAT:

The North Gwinnett Co-op will receive a $10,000 “Good Neighbor” Grant during the ribbon cutting ceremony for Kaiser Permanente’s Sugar Hill-Buford Medical Center, the health plan’s 14th medical center in metro Atlanta and 2nd facility in Gwinnett County.

The state-of-the-art 16,400 square-foot facility represents a $6.5 million investment in the community and was built using an environmentally-conscious “green design.” This approach helps conserve energy as well as reduce indoor air quality problems and exposure to hazardous materials.

Northwest Gwinnett Co-op is the epitome of Kaiser Permanente’s mission: to improve the lives of the communities we serve. It provides food, clothing and financial assistance to everyone from small children to senior citizens in Buford, Sugar Hill and Suwanee.

Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007 at 8-9 a.m.

WHERE:

Kaiser Permanente Sugar Hill-Buford Medical Center, 1435 Broadmoor Blvd., located just off Georgia Highway 20.

Directions:

If traveling on I-85 North, take Exit 113 to I-985 North towards Gainesville. From I-985 North, take Exit 4 for Georgia Highway 20 towards Buford/Cumming.

If traveling on I-85 South, take Exit 115-A to Georgia Highway 20 towards Buford/Cumming. Turn left onto Buford Drive/Georgia Highway 20 West. Travel approximately 2 miles on Buford Drive and turn right onto Broadmoor Boulevard.

The Kaiser Permanente Sugar Hill-Buford Medical Center is located directly behind the Applebee’s Restaurant on Broadmoor Boulevard.
