SunTrust Lunch on Broad takes place in Downtown Atlanta’s historic Fairlie-Poplar District between Walton and Luckie streets every Friday from May through September. The entertainment line-up for the 2008 concert series is more eclectic than ever before with acts including jazz, salsa, R& B, reggae, alternative rock and soft rock and two completely different radio stations alternating weeks for promotion: Kiss 104.1 - Atlanta’s Old School R&B station and 97.1 The River - Classic Hits. The live music will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. each day, but if tradition means anything, SunTrust Lunch on Broad diners will show up as early as 11 a.m. to snag that perfect table for their friends and co-workers.

“There’s no better place to spend a Friday lunch hour with co-workers or friends than at SunTrust Lunch on Broad in the heart of Downtown’s historic Fairlie-Poplar district, says Wilma Sothern, Vice President of Marketing for Central Atlanta Progress. “The warm weather, café-style atmosphere and variety of live music just add to the energy of being outdoors during the workday and really brings people together.” Presented by Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, the sponsors that are working together to make SunTrust Lunch on Broad a spring and summer success are: SunTrust, DUO Condominiums, Honda Generators, KISS 104.1 and 97.1 The River.
