WHO
Ralph E. Reed, Jr. is chairman and chief executive officer of Century Strategies, a public relations and public affairs firm that advises Fortune 500 companies. As chairman of the Georgia Republican Party from 2001 to 2002, he helped elect U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and Governor Sonny Perdue as the first GOP Governor in 130 years. In 2006, Reed ran for the office of Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, but was defeated in the Primary election by Casey Cagle. Reed has also worked on seven presidential campaigns as well as graced the cover of
Time magazine in 1996. However, Reed is best known for becoming the first executive director of the Christian Coalition during the early 1990s.
Reed earned a B.A. from the University of Georgia and Ph.D. in American History from Emory University. He is the bestselling author of
Politically Incorrect,
After the Revolution and
Active Faith. He debuts as a novelist with
Dark Horse. It is a political thriller about a complicated presidential campaign thrown into chaos when a presidential nominee is murdered by a terrorist. Reed lives in Duluth, GA with his wife and four children.
