In August of 2007 HomeGain conducted a survey of 1000 real estate agents nationwide and determined that when seller spend from $5,000 to $8,000 in updates and staging the return on investment is 150%. Additionally, USA Today did a study showing that a staged home will traditionally sell for 6 percent more than the asking price – compared to only 1.6 percent of a home that is not staged.
