Atlanta, GA - On Thursday, July 10, 2008, between 5:30-8:00pm, AIA Atlanta Tours Committee will conduct tours and lecture at the Herman Miller National Design Center located in Puritan Mill Complex at 916 Joseph El. Lowery Boulevard NW, Atlanta, Georgia.
Herman Miller established a minimum goal of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification for all new and renovated company buildings. When development started on the new Herman Miller National Design Center (NDC) in Atlanta, the project team set its sights on LEED Gold Certification and proceeded to attain it.
Designed as a resource and educational tool for office furniture end users in general and the architecture and design community in particular, this space showcases Herman Miller products and their green attributes in addition to the company's ongoing efforts to build with sustainability. The Atlanta NDC regularly hosts speakers and seminars to address these topics, and the space is open daily for tours.
RSVP for the tour and lecture through the
AIA Atlanta website.
