HYATT HOTELS OF ATLANTA, Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Grand Hyatt Atlanta announce the debut of A La Mode, a new decadent and stylish ice cream dessert menu. A La Mode, meaning “in fashion,” features a combination of Häagen-Dazs® Ice Cream’s most celebrated flavors, house made desserts, seasonal fruit and classic sundae ingredients for a “buzz-worthy” ice cream experience.
“The new desserts in the A La Mode menu utilize local ingredients and unique ice cream flavors allowing our guests to indulge fashionably this summer,” said Executive Chef Fritz Doss, Hyatt Regency Atlanta. “We found that our guests want traditional ice cream desserts such as Classic Hot Fudge Sundae as well as inventive flavor combinations and house made pastries, which lead us to the creation of the Warm Apple Tart and Mediterranean Coupe.”

A Sweet Way to Keep the Buzz Going
The
Vanilla Honey Bee dessert on the
A La Mode menu uses fresh seasonal fruit and features a new ice cream flavor developed to specifically to raise awareness of the plight of the honey bees and to help fund research to save them. Tens of thousands of honey bees in 24 states across the United States are vanishing from their hives and dying in the fields. The Häagen-Dazs brand created a new Web site to provide more information on its efforts to support honey bee populations:
http://helpthehoneybees.com.
Honey bees play a key role in creating ingredients regularly found in ice cream, such as almonds and strawberries, 40% of the ingredients that are found in many of the unique Häagen-Dazs flavors. A portion of the proceeds from Hyatt’s purchase of Vanilla Honey Bee ice cream will be allocated to Häagen-Dazs’ $250,000 donation to University of California at Davis and Pennsylvania State University for sustainable pollination research programs.
The chic A La Mode collection is now available in Kafe Kobenhaven at Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Cassis Restaurant at Grand Hyatt Atlanta and through in-room dining at both hotels.
