WHAT IS FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY?
Forensic psychology is the specialized application of psychological principals to the legal-judicial system. It is different from clinical psychology that addresses individual and family problems in a supportive therapeutic setting. Most associate forensic psychology only with criminal cases. It also includes civil cases including personal injury and custody.
Forensic psychology does not involve therapy or advocacy. Forensic psychology is concerned with scientific investigation, assessment, analysis and fidelity to the data.
