Floral Designer to Offer New Design Services in Atlanta Area

Designer announces announces her vision for 2008 holiday design trends

ATLANTA (November 26, 2008) – Christina Loucks Ahumada, fellow communications professional and floral designer is offering up her design services into the Atlanta area for weddings, events, interior designers, hoteliers, and retailers. Her experience has been working in New York and Nantucket Island on weddings and events for Panerai and Ritz Carlton for the Nantucket Race Week, and numerous events in collaboration with Nantucket Lite Candle & Soap Co., to name a few.

“My inspiration can come from anything– a piece of beautiful furniture, an organic piece of drift wood – even just from the shape and texture of various flowers and leaves,” says Christina Loucks Ahumada. “I love to bring a personal touch into my design. I like to meet with my clients, see their home, look at inspirational photographs with them to get a feel of their style, help to envision what it is that they are looking for – and create it for them. This way you are sure to encapsulate their design instead of buying an arrangement off the shelf.”

Vision for 2008 Holiday Trends
To sum it up in one word, it is Organic. Organic means different things to different people, to Ahumada it means using what you find in the earth, in your yard – how can you utilize the shapes of different branches to form a beautiful sculpture? These are options that can be used year round – but to add holiday style, spray paint the branches white, add sparkle with glitter, put them in a vase with pine cones, or berries to add some color. Hang some seashells you collected this past summer at the shore to the branch limbs as ornaments. Use some clippings from your pine tree limbs for the aroma of Christmas greens. These are elements that are found year round, always seasonal – and can have fresh flowers added to them for that extra punch of color and fragrance. Utilizing one flower, color consistent can pack a wonderful design punch with less punch on the wallet.
