SCORE Atlanta’s Blogging Bootcamp is about improving your Web presence with a professional blog, do-it-yourself search engine optimization (SEO), shameless self-promotion, and organic public relations (PR).

With over 72 percent of people finding what they need online, you must get found. If you can spare a day, are computer savvy, and have access to an Internet-ready laptop, SCORE Atlanta’s experts will show you how to boost your search engine rankings using free to low-cost Web 2.0 technologies.

You do not have to pay search engines to appear prominently in results. The key is to promote what you know to people who need to know it. And a blog, with fresh, relevant content, is a search-engine friendly way to do it. Search engines L-O-V-E blogs. And if you want to become a serious blogger, a self-hosted WordPress blog is the ultimate for design, functionality, and visability.

You will leave this training with a professionally-designed, self-hosted WordPress blog, loaded with all the juice you need to get found by major search engines.

Peggy Duncan, the workshop leader for Part I, will teach you how she started her blog from scratch, maintains it with fresh content, and keeps her top position in organic search results for her expertise using Web 2.0 tools. She is a personal productivity expert, an award-winning technology blogger, and author of six books on organization, time management, and technology tips, tricks, and strategies. JB Brathwaite, the workshop leader for Part II, will teach you how to build a professional WordPress blog from scratch and enhance it with some of the most popular plug-ins that will increase its functionality. He is an Internet strategist and WordPress blogging expert.

This full-day workshop is designed for small business owners who are looking for efficient, cost-effective ways to promote a business using the Web. Registration and details are online only at http://www.DigitalBreakThroughs.com.
