Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge Helps Businesses Boost Productivity with Nature-Based Training, Retreats

For an easy and affordable boost to employee productivity, try trading the office water cooler for a 729-foot cascading waterfall. The breathtaking Amicalola Falls is part of Amicalola State Park and Lodge and one of seven state parks in Georgia that offer a retreat center guaranteed to recharge a tired staff through a spectacular change of scenery.

Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge in Dawsonville, Georgia, sits 1,000 feet above the mountain valley and within earshot of the Southeast's highest waterfall. Guests are invited to enjoy the spectacular view from the Lodge's sweeping stone veranda, or take a closer look from the hiking trails below. Only an hour and a half outside of Atlanta, the Amicalola Falls Lodge is an invigorating setting for a company getaway, training day, or planning retreat.

The 56-room lodge features 3,074 square feet of meeting space equipped with wireless Internet service and audio-visual equipment. Four private conference spaces and ballrooms assure a comfortable work environment for groups up to 200 people. For groups who want to enhance their experience, on-site coordinators can customize special workshops, team-building activities, nature programs or entertainment.

To fuel the group, the Lodge Conference Staff offers a variety of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options. Whether the meal is calorie-conscious or fiesta-themed, banquet-style or individually-plated, the Conference Staff will ensure that everyone leaves the table satisfied.

Once business is concluded, take an energizing walk through the woods or relax by the cozy stone fireplace in the Lodge lobby. Or find a secluded spot by the waterfall to brainstorm new ideas to take back to work. But no visit to the Amicalola Falls Lodge is complete without watching a dramatic sunset over the mountaintops from the window-lined Maple Restaurant. It’s a peaceful moment that cannot be replicated in any cubicle or corner suite office.

At the end of the day, guests retire to private rooms fitted with all the conveniences of home: cable television and remote control, individually-regulated thermostats, telephones with voicemail, coffeemaker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. With the window open to the night breeze and the sounds of nature inviting sleep, any overworked team will appreciate a night’s rest between the bed's cool, clean sheets in preparation for another constructive day at the Amicalola Falls Lodge.
