Business Marketing Association, Atlanta Chapter, a nonprofit association dedicated to the professional and business development of B2B marketers, was pleased to present Kelly Dolan, Executive Director at
Susan G. Komen for the Cure a check for 50% of the proceeds from its 5
th Annual Chocolate Tasting Event held at
FAB in February.
"The BMA's annual Chocolate Tasting Fundraiser is always a great event for marketing executives to gather over good food and wine, and this year we were thrilled to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization," said Barry Mirkin, President, BMA Atlanta. "Through the generous donations from participants' during the Have a Heart Marketplace and silent auction, we were able to contribute 50% of net proceeds to this very worthwhile cause."
Barry Mirkin presented the donation to Ms. Dolan at the beginning of May14th's sold out BMA luncheon and Panel Discussion, “Profiting from Social Media,”
“We appreciate the Business Marketing Association’s support in the fight against breast cancer,” said Kelly Dolan, Executive Director at Susan G. Komen for the Cure, “this money will go to help fund much needed mammograms and breast cancer services for women in the Atlanta area.”
The BMA’s annual chocolate tasting is the organization’s signature fundraising and social networking event of the year. This event featured the BMA’s, “Have a Heart Marketplace” where attendees were able to purchase various Valentine’s Day gifts including chocolates, jewelry, golf lessons, spa packages, handmade scarves, beauty products, and more.
Networkers were also able to purchase raffle tickets to win items such as a cooking class for two from Viking Cooking School, golf lessons from Reynolds Plantation, Arbonne beauty products, Chamberlain’s chocolates, and more.
Our special guest for the evening was Vikki Locke from B98.5.
Don’t miss the BMA’s final event of the 2008-2009 season will be held at Eclipse de Luna at ( Perimeter Park Place) from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Located at 4505 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30346. Join us for a kick off to summer with tapas and sangrias. Admission is $20 for BMA members and $25 for non-members and includes appetizers and a glass of sangria.
