Affordable Family Fun & Safe Halloween Activities The Frazer Center Fall Festival Welcomes Friends and Neighbors

(Atlanta) The Frazer Center, a private, non-profit school for children with disabilities as well as typically developing children, is opening its doors and welcoming area neigbhors in Atlanta, Decatur, Druid Hills, Fernbank and Lake Claire to its annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 25th, from 2-6 p.m. in the Cator Woolford Gardens.

The fall festival is aimed at families with young chilren and includes pony rides, moon walks, a mini-train ride and children's arts & crafts. Kids are also invited to wear their Halloween costumes to the event. For parents, grandparents and early holiday shoppers, there will be a Silent Auction featuring sporting events and concert tickets, restaurant gift certificates, gym and yoga memberships and original works of art, donated by area businesses and artists. Proceeds of the Fall Festival, the primary annual fundraiser for The Frazer Center, provide scholarships and tuition assistance, teacher training and other special programming and improvements for the private, non-profit institution, serving the needs of disabled infants and toddlers as well as typically developing children in Atlanta since 1949.

"The Frazer Center is one of Atlanta's best kept secrets. Just off Ponce de Leon Avenue, and amidst the Olmstead linear parks, many families who live nearby have only experienced the Cator Woolford Gardens, sometimes known as "the Secret Gardens," and never met any of the wonderful children and instructors at this school. During our fall festival, we invite the neighborhood in...and spend a day having a ton of family fun for adults and children of all ages," said Becky Hall, Chair of The Frazer Fall Festival, and a Senior Account Executive at WSTR-FM/STAR94

The festival and Silent Auction are the primary annual fundraiser for the Frazer Center children's programs. Admission for an entire family is $20, with individual adult tickets for $10 and children for $5. Admission includes free food and drink, most all event activities and the Silent Auction.

"Smart holiday shoppers know to check out our Silent Auction for that special piece of children's art or even finding a real bargain on a romantic cruise. We have a classroom competition underway, and a goal of one auction item donated by every family at the Frazer Center. There should be bargains of all shapes and sizes to be had, as well as a very affordable afternoon of fun for the kids, and a safe alternative to Trick or Treating the following week," said Jennifer Grant Warner, Co-chair of the Silent Auction for The Frazer Center Fall Festival as well as an SVP and Chief Programming Officer of the nearby Fernbank Museum of Natural History.

The Frazer Center is located just off Ponce de Leon Avenue, and can also be accessed by Clifton Road or McClendon Avenue. Free parking is available adjacent to the school, and in the Lake Claire neighborhood nearby.
