Les Dames d'Escoffier's 9th Annual "Afternoon in the Country" Nov. 8
ATLANTA - November 8, 2009 - The Atlanta Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier is hosting the 9th annual "Afternoon in the Country ". Chefs from Atlanta's top restaurants, paired with Georgia's top Organic Farms, and select caterers and retailers will be set up in a tasting format alongside fine wine and premium micro-brews - all under festive big-top tents in the beautiful gardens surrounding The Inn at Serenbe near Palmetto. Our event features 80+ of Georgia's best including: Abattoir, Aria, Avalon Catering, Babettes, Banfi, Bella Cucina Artful Food, Big Boat Distributors, Bocado , Bold American Catering, Cabot Creamery, Canoe, Casa Lapostolle, Caymus Vineyards, Cooks Warehouse, Cured Foods, Ecco, Empire Distributors, Eno, Farm 255, Farmhouse at Serenbe, Five Seasons Prado, Flat Creek Lodge, 4th and Swift, Georgia Grille, Grapefields, H&F Bakery, Harris & Clark, Hemispheres Distributors, Here To Serve Restaurants, Holeman and Finch, Home, J Loire, JCT Kitchen, Joel, Kevin Rathbun Steak, Krog Bar, La Tavola, Livingston, Lola, Market, Miller Union, Moet and Chandon, Muss & Turner's, NEO at The Mansion on Peachtree, NO Winery, Park 75 at The Four Seasons, Prestige Distributors, Pricci, Pura Vida, Rathbun's, Restaurant Eugene, Robert Craig Winery, Rodney Strong, Rosebud, Savor Specialty Foods, Seckinger Productions, Serenbe Farms, Shaun's, Sherlock's, Spice Market, Steele Winery, Sun in My Belly, Sweetgrass Dairy, Sweetwater Brewery, The Feed Store, The Flying Biscuit Café, The Hil, Twist, United Distributors, Via Elisa Fresh Pasta, Whole Foods Market, Woodfire Grill and ZD Winery. Other highlights include: Live music by DriveTrain, the South's premiere Bluegrass band, a one-of-a-kind cake raffle featuring sweets from Atlanta's top pastry chefs, hayrides and an expanded silent auction offering exclusive dining and travel packages, food and wine merchandise and original art by prominent artists. Tickets are $95 for adults, $35 for youth, ages 13 to 20, and children 12 and under are free. A portion of the proceeds of Afternoon in the Country will help support a Relief Fund for these Farms who were hardest hit by the recent floods. We look forward to seeing you there.
