Atlanta – Habersham Funding, LLC, announces the addition of Debra Poane as Executive Assistant to the President. Habersham Funding’s President is M. Bryan Freeman, an internationally recognized expert in the secondary market for life insurance, as the life settlement industry is known. The company is located in Piedmont Center.

Habersham is a Buckhead-based life settlement provider that does business nationally. It provides the funds for life settlements and viatical settlements, which enable seniors who no longer want or need their life insurance to receive an advance cash payment for their policy. The viatical settlement option is available to some people who are terminally ill.

“Deb’s broad experience is a great addition to our seasoned team of professionals,” Freeman says. “She was tailor made for this fast-paced, wide-ranging work environment.”

Poane was previously a marketing specialist with Apartment Realty Advisors and, prior to that, worked in the headquarters of Post Properties, Inc., and, earlier, with Jones Lang LaSalle.

She gives her time to Chayil, Inc., a non-profit that provides post-shelter services for survivors of domestic violence. She enjoys playing the cello, painting, hiking, hanging out at the beach and travel in general. Poane and her husband reside in Kennesaw.
