Tune in to AM 1690 “The Voice of the Arts” for this in-depth story, straight from the voice that lived it. Don’t miss it!!!

Brandon Bush:
Brandon Bush is a multi-instrumentalist who began his performance career at the age of four, when he and his older brother played a fiddle duet to open a Dolly Parton show. With over 60 CD’s on his resume, Mr. Bush is also featured on the Grammy-winning, triple platinum recording “Room for Squares” by John Mayer (Aware/Columbia Records). Bush has toured extensively with Lost Highway recording artist Tift Merritt, appearing with her on The Late Show with David Letterman. Bush’s studio credits include piano, Hammond organ, vintage keyboards, synths, drums, and drum programming, including the now classic loop behind Shawn Mullins’ hit “Lullaby.”

AM 1690 “The Voice of the Arts” :
AM 1690 “The Voice of the Arts” is unlike any other radio station in Atlanta. AM 1690 is a highly eclectic station that mixes music and talk that spans the cultural spectrum - with a particular emphasis on Atlanta's growing and dynamic arts and culture scene. AM 1690 emphasizes variety in our musical library, but rather than playing blocks of particular types of music, any 10 song play list may include Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Rock, Folk, Oldies, World music, new music, local music, Show tunes, you may even hear an Opera song. One of AM 1690’s concepts is “listen as you learn”. Our radio personality’s short commentary on the songs and musicians enhance our listener’s experience. AM 1690 “The Voice of the Arts” has interviewed everyone from Salman Rushdie to Cheech & Chong and now Brandon Bush. It is the only station in Atlanta where you could hear Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, The White Stripes, B.B. King, Chopin, and The Beatles in the same hour.

“If the art of music had a voice, it would sound like AM 1690.”
