Georgia State Park Lodges Encourage Groups to Start Meetings by the end of Winter

Succeed in the New Decade with a Productive Meeting at an Unbeatable Price

ATLANTA, January 20Georgia State Parks has announced their own contribution to the economic stimulus plan with a special offer to all businesses – start your meeting by the end of winter and enjoy unbeatable prices for you and your employees. Available now, any groups can experience an affordable off-site meeting for as little as $130 per person per night at George T. Bagby State Park on Lake Walter F. George, Little Ocmulgee State Park in McRae and Red Top Mountain State Park on Lake Allatoona. A rate of $149 per person per night is also available at Amicalola Falls State Park near Dawsonville and Unicoi State Park near Helen. These discounted rates include a single guest room, meals, food and beverage breaks and a General Session meeting room, plus additional meeting benefits such as Audio/Visual setup. All group bookings are handled by the State Parks’ group meeting planner to ensure that individual needs are matched to the most appropriate lodge. Group planners can call 770-975-4291 to plan their off-site meeting.

“There is no need to sacrifice the benefits of an off-site meeting because of financial constraints,” said Sally Winchester, marketing manager for Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites. “The opportunity to have your employees or board members unplug from their office and focus on important decisions and plans that need to be made can set the course for your business’ or groups’ success for the whole year.”

In addition to being able to have your team focus on the matters at hand, the special rates also include a Georgia ParkPass to allow all attendees to experience the unique natural offerings that each park provides. The special rate includes dinner on the day of arrival, continental breakfast and ends with lunch on the day of departure.

The “Start Your Meeting” group rate is based on availability and cannot be combined or transferred with any other packages or promotions. To secure the group rate, planners can call 770-975-4291 and book their meeting before the end of March 2010. More information on accommodations, amenities and meeting spaces at Georgia State Park Lodges can be found at www.GaLodges.com.
