Buckhead Business Association’s (BBA) Annual Luncheon on Thursday, January 21 at the Atlanta History Center,
W Atlanta - Buckhead received the organization’s 2009 Buckhead Business of the Year Award, presented by the BBA and AJC Media Solutions. After a lively video presentation highlighting the boutique hotel in the heart of Buckhead “where modern luxury meets Southern charm,” General Manager Marylouise Fitzgibbon accepted the prestigious award.

The Private Bank of Buckhead were honored as 2009 Buckhead Business of the Year finalists.
Denise Starling of BATMA (Buckhead Area Transportation Management Association) received this year’s “Bullish on Buckhead” Award. Since its inception in 1997, BATMA’s mission has been to provide relief to commuters, residents, and visitors traveling to and within Buckhead.
Finally, the “Buckhead Beautification Award” was bestowed on St. Regis Atlanta, the luxury hotel property that opened in April 2009. Designed by renowned design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, the elegant 26-story St. Regis Atlanta is surrounded by lush landscaping. Its expansive semicircular windows offer spectacular Atlanta skyline views.
Keynote speaker at the lunch was New York Times best-selling author Harvey Mackay, who educated and entertained the capacity crowd with sage business advice. His newest book Use Your Head to Get Your Foot in the Door will be available in February.
The 2010 Annual Luncheon was catered by Affairs to Remember in the Atlanta History Center’s Grand Overlook Ballroom. Decorations were by Balloons & Events over Atlanta, and complimentary valet parking was provided courtesy of LAZ Parking.
