social-print
It's not just a relaxing indulgence - massage is actually good for you!

Stress can have many harmful effects including headaches, muscle aches and stiffness, digestive and circulatory problems, increased blood pressure, anxiety, sleeplessness and fatigue. Massage can help relieve unpleasant symptoms and give an overall sense of well-being. Massage has been shown to help decrease depression, increase productivity, ease pain in arthritic joints and help people recover from injuries and illness.

After complete her bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy at Florida State University, Ellie Ellerbee relocated to Atlanta and soon discovered her interests in health, fitness and science had led to a passion for massage. In 1994, she completed her massage therapy training in eastern and western techniques at Capelli Learning Center in Atlanta. Ellie has since been providing Therapeutic Massage since 1996 through Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in historic Marietta Square.

She combines the smooth relaxing style of Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage with rhythmic deep compressions from Thai Massage for a healing and enriching experience. She also offers Hot Stone Massage, Aromatherapy, Prenatal Massage, and specializes in injury rehabilitation. Her clients range from busy executives to expectant mothers to injured "weekend" athletes. Her calming presence, soothing touch and pleasant studio are especially appreciated by cancer patients and those recovering from surgery.

Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork offers a variety of packages and gift certificates - perfect for Valentine's Day!

"We also offer a 10 percent discount to public servants. Those who help others - healthcare workers, police, firefighters, educators - often find themselves stressed doing the work they love," says Ellie.

Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is offering a special "Valentine" rate for new clients who mention this Daybook article. For more information, please see www.therabodywork.com or contact Ellie Ellerbee at 678-618-9934 or elliebee33@ymail.com.
