Deloitte LLP Named Title Sponsor of National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Inaugural Bike MS Event
Bike MS: Deloitte. Atlanta to Athens Ride 2010 is the Newest Addition to the Bike MS Cycling Series in Georgia
ATLANTA, GA (February 25, 2010) - Deloitte LLP has been named title sponsor of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's inaugural Bike MS: Deloitte. Atlanta to Athens Ride 2010, the newest addition to the Bike MS cycling series in Georgia. Deloitte has pledged to assist the Society in its goal to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis and to fund support programs and research that help more than 8,500 individuals impacted by MS throughout Georgia.
"Deloitte is pleased to support Bike MS," said Jeff Lund, a partner in Deloitte's AERS practice. "The firm has a proud history of community involvement, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has long been an important part of that effort to give back."
In addition to the title sponsor designation, Deloitte's dedicated cycling team will raise additional funds apart from its corporate sponsorship to make the approximate 170-mile, two-day trip from Atlanta to Athens and back.

Excitement is mounting throughout the cycling community for this new event when, on the morning of April 10th , registered riders will converge on downtown Atlanta and the campus of Georgia State University for the approximate 84-mile one-way ride to the "Classic City" - Athens, Ga. A century option will also be available. The course and participants will be fully supported with frequent, well-stocked break points, mechanical support, SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles as well as unmatched volunteer support.
Arriving in downtown Athens, riders will participate in an interactive cycling village replete with live entertainment, on-site mechanical support, and camaraderie from hundreds of fellow cyclists. Cyclist will make the return trip to Atlanta, GA amid much fanfare on April 11th.
The Georgia Chapter hopes to build upon the success of the 24-year running Bike MS: Cox Atlanta Ride, which in 2009 alone helped raise more than $1 million, by adding the Bike MS: Deloitte. Atlanta to Athens Ride to its lineup.
