Rockledge Apartments to Host Film Screenings with Dragon*Con

Rockledge Apartments is pleased to announce a collaboration with Dragon*Con to showcase independent films each month at the community's new 80-seat movie theater. The movie theater, currently under construction, will be unveiled at the Grand Opening of the new 18,000 square foot clubhouse at Rockledge in early May.

The first of many film screenings with Dragon*Con in the Rockledge theater will take place at the clubhouse Grand Opening on May 4^th with Dragon*Con presenting two short films during the festivities. Beginning in June, Dragon*Con will feature independent films from local filmmakers with a different genre highlighted each month.

"We are tremendously excited about our partnership with Dragon*Con," says Billy Holcombe, Director of Marketing for Rockledge. "These monthly screenings are the exact type of event we had in mind when constructing the movie theater. Dragon*Con is the largest science fiction and fantasy convention in the nation. Each year, the event takes place over Labor Day weekend in downtown Atlanta and draws over 30,000 visitors from all over the world. In past years, the event has attracted celebrities from movies and television series like Star Wars, X-Men, True Blood, Spider Man, Twilight, Star Trek, Heroes, The Watchmen and more.

The intimate movie theater at Rockledge is located on the third level of the community clubhouse and will be equipped with surround sound and real movie theater seating to offer residents an authentic movie going experience. Residents at Rockledge will also have an opportunity to meet some of Atlanta's top filmmakers and enjoy complimentary popcorn and beverages provided by the community. Film screenings will be open to residents of Rockledge on a priority basis; remaining available tickets will be offered to the public.

In addition to the 80 seat movie theater, the clubhouse at Rockledge will provide residents a living experience unlike any other complex in the Southeast. The 18,000 square foot clubhouse will also feature an indoor running track, state-of-the-art fitness center with personal trainers, yoga studio, indoor basketball court and a party room with fireplace, flat screen television and billiard tables.
