Tickets On Sale for Central Atlanta Progress Annual Meeting

The 68th Annual Meeting will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center

Over 1,200 people will congregate on the morning of Wednesday, March 24, for the 68th Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) Annual meeting in the Thomas B. Murphy ballroom at the Georgia World Congress Center. A registration period/coffee hour will precede the meeting's 8 a.m. start time.

Tickets are $75 for CAP members, $85 for non-members and are available for purchase at www.atlantadowntown.com.

"We have another solid and entertaining program planned for this year's meeting, and with only a month to go, we encourage people to purchase their tickets now," said A.J. Robinson, president of Central Atlanta Progress. "We're particularly excited about the different Top 10 lists we'll reveal along with an impressive lineup of presenters, including Georgia State University Football Coach, Bill Curry.

Charlie Loudermilk and Jim Maddox will be the recipients of the Dan Sweat Award and Turner Broadcasting Downtown Community Leadership Award, respectively. Loudermilk is a longtime philanthropist, Chairman of the Board and founder of Atlanta-based Aaron's Inc. Maddox recently retired after a long career on the Atlanta City Council.

The Ambassador Force will be marking their 15th anniversary in operation in 2010 and there will be special acknowledgement of this milestone. Individual ambassadors will be honored with the annual Ambassador of the Year and Outstanding Clean Team Member awards.
