2010 Spring Atlanta Home Show Offers Ideas, Innovations, Experts and Entertainment

Presenting Sponsor American Family Insurance Ushers in the Spring Atlanta Home Show's 32nd Year

ATLANTA - The 2010 Spring Atlanta Home Show, will bring ideas, innovations and experts in the home building and home remodeling industry to the Cobb Galleria Center March 19-21, 2010. The Show's theme is Make Your Home New Again, and it will feature exhibits from over 300 local home improvement companies, as well as seminars on a variety of topics. Guest speakers and hands-on demonstrations will provide attendees with tips and advice on cooking, gardening, home repair, decorating, recreation, aging in place and other subjects related to home remodeling and home improvement. There also will be live radio broadcasts and culinary demonstrations.

The 2010 Spring Atlanta Home Show is a SEMCO production, and for the first time, American Family Insurance will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Show. "We are very pleased that this nationally-known insurance company has chosen to support the Spring Atlanta Home Show, now in its 32nd year, said Michael Schoppenhorst, director of the Show. "Today, more than ever, homeowners are looking for ways to improve their homes, from going green to making adaptations for aging in place. Insurance is a crucial component of successful home ownership, which is why having American Family Insurance sponsor the Show is such a good fit," he said.

New at the Spring Atlanta Home Show this year will be the ‘Total Wine Experience', a wine-tasting area for adults sponsored by Total Wine & More. Proceeds from the tasting will benefit Hope Atlanta, the service programs of Travelers Aid of Metro Atlanta. The Show will also offer an Artist Showcase where attendees can meet artists from across the Southeast and purchase their works. Children are invited to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog at the American Family Insurance booth on Saturday, March 20, from 1-4 p.m.

Walter Reeves and Dave Baker with broadcast their WSB-AM radio shows, The Lawn and Garden Show and The Home Fix-it Show, respectively, live from the ServiceLive Home Show Stage Saturday morning, March 20. Walter Reeves will also speak on Friday mid-day, joining a roster of speakers that includes TV personality Joe Washington, HGTV's Kimberly Lacy, "Green Guru" Rocco Sinisgalli and others.

The Cobb Galleria Centre is located at Two Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339. Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $10. Children 12 and under and adults 65 and over are admitted for free. Two-day passes are available for $15. Discount coupons are available through the website or the Show's Facebook page.
