NFL's Marcus Stroud Hosts 'Le Moulin Rouge' at Opera Atlanta on Friday, March 26

First Annual Charity Event to Benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding

WHAT: Please note event date change: On the evening of Friday, March 26, Marcus Stroud (#99) starting defensive tackle for the NFL Buffalo Bills and former UGA football player, invites all of Atlanta to enjoy sights, sounds and delights of New Orleans at Le Moulin Rouge- a charity event hosted by the Marcus Stroud Foundation to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding.

Guests will enjoy live entertainment featuring R&B artist, Lina, signature cocktails, themed food stations, a premium open bar, an aerial fire show; "live" human statues and three choreographed dance performances by CiCi Kelley (CiCi choreography had graced the legendary stage of Harlem's "Showtime at the Apollo" and FOX 29's "Good Day Philadelphia"), Victor M. Jackson, II (Victor has worked with Ciara, Keri Hilson, Lil Wayne, Kandi Burruss, Mario, BET, BRAVO and HBO and last but not least Quincy Lamar (Quincy has been featured in music videos, stage, and movies, such as "Stomp the Yard," and "The Notebook". Clients include GA Lottery and Grammy Award winning artist Ludacris.) A silent auction will feature a wide range of exciting including: travel, dining and resort packages, rare sports memorabilia, Honesty Jewelry by Nicole Jones (wife of Chicago Whitesox player, Andruw Jones), new bag releases by Louis Vuitton and much more.

WHO: In addition to host Marcus Stroud, the following NFL players will also be on hand to meet with guests and media: Deon Grant - Seattle Seahawks; George Wilson, Buffalo Bills; Fred Taylor - New England Patriots; Mike Peterson - Atlanta Falcons; Hines Ward - Pittsburgh Steelers; Robert Edwards - NFL Free Agent; and Marcellus Willey - Retired NFL.

WHEN: Due to unforeseen circumstances, please note the original event date and time of Saturday, March 27 has been changed to Friday, March 26, 2010

- 7 to 8 pm -- VIP 'Meet and Greet' with athletes and celebrities

- 8 to 11 pm -- General admission event

COST: General admission tickets are $125/each. VIP tickets are available for $200/each. All proceeds will benefit patients at Children's Healthcare at Hughes Spalding. VIP ticket holders will have access to a special ‘Meet & Greet' with Marcus Stroud and other participating athletes and celebrities prior to the general admission event.

Editor's note: Marcus Stroud is going the extra mile for patients at Children's Healthcare at Hughes Spalding. As part of his outreach through the Marcus Stroud Charitable Foundation, the NFL athlete (and Thomasville, GA native) will read to patients at the downtown hospital, engage with clowns from the Clown Care Unit and present gifts, including a custom tricycle from Israel (valued at $1,200), toys and board games to the downtown hospital. The event - sure to be a hit with patients at Children's at Hughes Spalding - is open to the media from 11:45 am to 1 pm.
