ATLANTA – The 27th Annual Fall Atlanta Home Show will bring ideas, innovations and experts in the home improvement and remodeling industries to Atlanta’s Cobb Galleria Center Sept. 24-26, 2010. On Friday, Sept. 24, SEMCO Productions is offering free admission to professionals in the housing industry and other real estate professionals. Free Friday admission will be given to licensed real estate agents, professionals who work in the housing industry as well as members of

“All a real estate or housing professional has to do on Friday is show is his or her business card for free admission, said Atlanta Home Show Director Michael Schoppenhorst of SEMCO Productions. “This is our way of offering a benefit back to the industry, as well as giving professionals an easy way to educate themselves on the newest products and services available to homeowners,” he said.

The longest-running home show in Atlanta will feature exhibits from hundreds of local home improvement companies, as well as seminars on a variety of topics. Guest speakers and hands-on demonstrations will provide attendees with tips and advice on home remodeling and repair, gardening and landscaping, energy savings, cooking, decorating, outdoor living and more. There also will be activities for children, live radio broadcasts and culinary demonstrations.

This year, eight of metro Atlanta’s top designers have been selected to create a beautiful seating area in a collaboration featuring various styles and design aesthetics. The vignettes will be part of the all-new “Total Wine & Design Experience” area presented by Total Wine & More, and the designers will be available throughout the Show to discuss the design process with attendees. A $5 donation to Hope Atlanta, the programs of Travelers Aid of Metropolitan Atlanta, is required in addition to Show admission for adults to sample eight different wines from around the world.

A full roster of speakers will be on hand each day, including Joe Washington of HGTV’s Ground Breakers, Tonya M. Williams of HGTV’s Designed to Sell and Bang for Your Buck and Farmer D of Farmer D’s Organics. Belinda Skelton will host a live broadcast of WSB-AM’s The Lawn and Garden Show and Dave Baker will broadcast his WSB-AM radio show, The Home Fix-It Show, live from the Show Saturday morning, Sept. 25. The Cobb Galleria Centre is located at Two Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339. Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon – 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $10.
