Ancestry Day at the National Archives at Atlanta

The National Archives at Atlanta, in partnership with the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society—Metro Atlanta Chapter, invites you to join us for an all-day seminar featuring the premier website for family history research, Ancestry.com. You may not know that many of the records available through Ancestry.com are scans of original documents in the National Archives. This seminar will also help long-time family historians seeking to maximize the resources of Ancestry.com and the National Archives.
Presenters:
Lisa Arnold, Content Manager for Ancestry.com. Ms. Arnold will discuss the intricacies of using Ancestry.com
Reginald Washington, archivist and genealogist from the National Archives in Washington, D.C. Mr. Washington’s presentation is titled “Southern Claims Commission: A Source for Southern Genealogy.” The Southern Claims Commission is a valuable source for southern genealogy.
