ATLANTA (September 3, 2010) – On Thursday, September 9, Eddie Staub (www.eagleranch.com) will speak at the Buckhead Business Association’s weekly breakfast and networking meeting (www.buckheadbusiness.org). The event is held at the City Club of Buckhead and starts at 7:30 AM.
“Eddie Staub brings an inspirational account to our membership,” notes Heather Wright, president of the BBA. “Since its inception, Eagle Ranch has provided a home for more than 600 troubled teens and children, and today Eagle Ranch is one of the nation’s most progressive therapeutic homes for children in crisis.”
Eddie Staub is Founder and Executive Director of Eagle Ranch, a Christ-centered home for boys and girls in crisis and in need of hope and healing. From humble beginnings, the Ranch has grown to become the largest home for children in need north of Atlanta and was named “The Miracle on Chestnut Mountain” by CNN.
With the arrival of the first boy in April 1985 and the first girl in July 2001, Eagle Ranch can now provide a home for nearly 70 children (42 boys and 24 girls). The Ranch celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2010. More than 700 children and their families have found new beginnings at Eagle Ranch since its founding. The Ranch’s Wings Initiative assists children’s homes across the United States and abroad by providing counsel for new and existing programs.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Eddie graduated with a B.S. in Science Education from Auburn University and was a member of the varsity baseball team. He also has a master’s degree in Physiology from Auburn. Eddie has participated in Leadership Georgia and has been honored for Eagle Ranch’s contributions to youth and families throughout Georgia. He is married to the former Kayanne Morris of Atlanta, and they have five children.
The inspiring story of the founding of Eagle Ranch is available in the book On Eagle’s Wings, which is now in its tenth printing.
