Spelman College Museum of Fine Art Launches Season on Sept. 9 with "Evenly Yoked: Bradley McCallum & Jacqueline Tarry"
WHAT:
Spelman College will host an opening reception and press preview for “Evenly Yoked: Bradley McCallum & Jacqueline Tarry,” an exhibition by Brooklyn-based artists Bradley McCallum and Jacqueline Tarry. The exhibition, comprised of 10 works by the husband and wife collaborative, examines race relations and social justice. Through their work they challenge audiences to reflect deeply on persistent subjects that have shaped the nation including shared heritage, the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement, and the spoken and unspoken politics of being an interracial couple.
