That, and a penny will get you moving in Atlanta...A Transportation Educational Update

Come Learn How this New Legislation will Impact You

social-print

Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta, Inc. (CREW Atlanta), one of the premier real estate organizations in the city, is very excited to announce that its next program, “That, and a penny will get you moving in Metro Atlanta,” will be held at Coca-Cola’s World Headquarters in Midtown Atlanta on Feb. 2 from noon until 1:30 p.m.

The weather may be cool outside, but the topic of transportation heats up even more this winter as we near the date to vote on the penny transportation tax in our region. The Transportation Investment Act (TIA) will be put in the hands of the voters in July 2012 to either support or vote down the investment plan and list of projects that have been approved. Now is your time to get educated on the details of the TIA, while learning how this new legislation will impact on our industry, quality of life and job creation. Hear from local experts on the topic of transportation and participate in an interactive discussion focused on educating our CREW audience on all the variables of the referendum.

Those on the panel will be Dave Williams, VP of Transportation, Metro Atlanta Chamber; Lisa Gordon, COO of Atlanta Beltline; and Tad Leithead, Chairman of the Atlanta Regional Commission. Robert Voyles, Principal and CEO of Seven Oaks Company, LLC will be moderating the discussion.

Metro Atlanta requires transportation solutions for many reasons, including increasing value of our real estate assets. The future of Atlanta’s transportation challenges are now in our hands. Please join us for a lively program with leaders of these transportation initiatives to educate yourself on all the aspects of the Transportation Investment Act.

Registration and networking starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program is from noon until 1:30 p.m. Cost is $45 for CREW members and $65 for guests.
