BBA Presents Buckhead Business of the Year Award to MF Buckhead
Winners of Buckhead Beautification Award and Bullish on Buckhead Award Also Announced
Since 1998, the annual Buckhead of the Year Award has been given to a relatively new business in Buckhead, one that opened its doors in the vibrant Buckhead area within the last five years. The winning establishment is recognized for its vision to select Buckhead as its location, its commitment to give back to the Buckhead community and its ongoing involvement in the area.
"MF Buckhead, the stunning Japanese restaurant on the ground floor of the new Terminus building, has been five years in the making, and the food is unlike anything Atlanta has seen before" noted Gill as she presented the prestigious award. "We are delighted to recognize the vision and the community involvement of Chris and Alex Kinjo, brothers and co-owners of this restaurant as well as MF Sushibar and Nam, who have brought such a magnificent dining experience to Buckhead."
In addition, Terminus, Cousins Properties' landmark development located at the corner of Atlanta's most prominent streets, Peachtree and Piedmont, was the winner of the Buckhead Beautification Award. Larry Gellerstedt III, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Cousins Properties, accepted the award.
The annual Bullish on Buckhead Award went to Sally Silver. Mrs. Silver who, among many other functions, has served as the Chair of the Development and Transportation Committee of the North Buckhead Civic Association since 1999. She has taken part in the planning of some of the most significant projects in Buckhead – to mention a few: Terminus, The Sovereign, The Mansion, and the InterContinental Hotel. She continues her work with The Streets of Buckhead and the enhancement and expansion of the Buckhead Special Public Interest District, SPI-9.
About Buckhead Business Association — Since its inception in 1951, the Buckhead Business Association (BBA) has grown to be an integral part of the Buckhead business community. Members of this non-profit organization - including corporate, midsize and small businesses, entrepreneurs and individual members - enjoy the opportunity to make new business contacts at weekly breakfast meetings, hear notable speakers and keep apprised of what goes on in Buckhead.
The weekly BBA breakfast meeting, which recently moved to the City Club of Buckhead, is held every Thursday from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The City Club of Buckhead is located at 3343 Peachtree Road, Suite 1850.
