Channel 2 WSB-TV Celebrates Excellence In Georgia High Schools

The 2nd Annual Shuler Hensley Awards Friday, April 16th Starting at 8 p.m.

ATLANTA, April 13, 2010 – WSB-TV, Channel 2 celebrates excellence in Georgia high school music theatre Friday night at 8 p.m. According to Bill Hoffman, vice president and general manager for Channel 2, "It is all part of the station’s service to the community. We are proud to showcase the high caliber of local talent and shine a spotlight on their efforts for the state to see."

Jovita Moore and Justin Farmer, Channel 2 Action News anchors, host the second annual Shuler Hensley Awards, an initiative of the Cobb Energy Centre educational outreach program, ARTSBRIDGE. The program honors local students for their achievements in musical theatre production. It’s an exciting night of spectacular performances and award presentations. Thirty nine Georgia high schools representing eleven counties compete in categories including overall production, leading actor & actress, chorus ensemble and ten other categories. Last year’s inaugural program drew a viewing audience of one hundred and twenty-four thousand. *

The regularly scheduled ABC program, Wife Swap will air beginning at 2:05 a.m. that same night.
