Atlanta Business Leaders Guide National Growth of ToolBank

2011 Officers, New Directors Named to Leadership Team

ToolBank USA today announced its 2011 officers and newly elected directors. The board and its officers are the guiding strategic force behind the governance and development of ToolBank USA, which enhances the efficiency and success of non-profit organizations by maintaining inventories of tools for borrowing to increase the impact of community service projects.

President: Corky Martin, Product Development Merchant with The Home Depot
Vice President: Nick Costides, Information Technology Executive with UPS
Treasurer: Dan Webber, Chief Information Officer of Prime Holdings BV
Secretary: Andrew Sohn, Senior Vice President with Bank of America

"This team exemplifies the leadership behind the transformation of the ToolBank from a highly successful grassroots Atlanta organization to a burgeoning national network," said ToolBank USA CEO Mark Brodbeck. "The Home Depot and UPS have invested capital, knowledge and time in advancing our mission, and I’m thrilled to have these partners represented at the highest level of leadership." Outgoing board president and Kilpatrick Townsend attorney Adria Perez will remain on the board to serve as immediate past president. The organization also recognized retiring longtime director Jennifer Higgins of Make It Mine Parties for her seven total years of service on the boards of the Atlanta Community ToolBank and ToolBank USA.

In addition, two new directors were elected to serve on the board:
Steve Deputy is Regional Vice President of BlueLinx, the country’s largest building products distributor and a Fortune 1000 company; and
Robert Mason, CEO of REM Enterprise Solutions, a software solutions provider that has helped develop core IT systems for ToolBank USA and its growing network of affiliates.

"Steve and Bobby have already shown a strong dedication to ensuring the continued excellence of the organization as we grow," said Martin who has served on the ToolBank USA board since its founding in 2008. "Like ToolBank USA, their firms are focused on providing the best in customer service and we’re certain their experience will be integral in helping to drive ToolBank growth."
