Pollster & Political Analyst Towery to Speak to FEI-Atlanta Nov. 13

The Atlanta Chapter of Financial Executives International will welcome political analyst and syndicated columnist Matt Towery, CEO of non-partisan national political media and polling firm InsiderAdvantage, to speak at the Nov. 13 dinner meeting at Villa Christina. The meeting begins with a 5:30 p.m. networking reception, followed by dinner and speaker presentations from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Towery, who is also a Senior Strategic Advisor to the national law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge, will offer post-election analyses to the FEI-Atlanta group of financial officers.

Towery served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1992 to 1997, and at age 30 was the Republican nominee for Lt. Governor in 1990, running with gubernatorial nominee Johnny Isakson.

A former National Bicentennial Debate Champion, Towery served as debate advisor to Congressman Newt Gingrich in his first re-election bid, as well as serving as special assistant to U. S. Senator Mack Mattingly in the early 1980s. As a Republican strategist, Towery worked in Gubernatorial, Congressional and U.S. Senate races. He was Chairman of Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich’s political organization until Gingrich left Congress in 1999.

He authored the bestseller, Powerchicks: How Women Will Dominate America, as well as three other books. He writes a nationally syndicated weekly column (published locally in the Marietta Daily Journal) through the Los Angeles-based Creators Syndicate.

Towery has appeared on national television programs ranging from Hardball with Chris Matthews, Fox & Friends, The O’Reilly Factor, Hannity, ABC, CBS, and NBC as well as serving as a guest commentator for CNN during the 2012 presidential primary cycle. He is also an on-air political analyst for Fox5 Atlanta.

He was formerly CEO of family-owned Color Graphics, one of the South's largest commercial printing companies, which he sold to Mail Well (NYSE) in 1997. Attending the University of Georgia and with two degrees from England’s Cambridge University, Towery is also a cum laude graduate of Florida’s J.D. Stetson University College of Law and a member of the Georgia Bar.

He has served on numerous boards including Atlanta’s Pace Academy, Kennesaw State University Foundation, Stetson University College of Law Board of Overseers, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Gridiron.

“Matt is extremely well-qualified to comment on the current political situation and its financial implications. We encourage FEI members to invite a colleague to join us for this timely program,” said FEI-Atlanta President Jim Wanserski of Wanserski and Associates.

Hosted by FEI-Atlanta sponsor Tatum, a national professional services firm, the event is held in the ballroom at Villa Christina, 4000 Summit Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30319. This outstanding facility features award-winning cuisine in a beautiful setting overlooking expansive gardens.
