Fabulous Friends in Philanthropy Mixer - Wednesday April 17, 2013

April 17, 2013, 6:00pm-9:00pm at Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery Midtown Atlanta

Fabulous Friends in Philanthropy will host their April Mixer on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery Midtown from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The event is held every other month to bring nonprofit organizations, leaders and volunteers together to network and collaborate, while raising money for their Petals in Bloom Scholarship Fund.

“This will be our third mixer and we are very excited about the momentum they are generating.  We currently have a waiting list through the end of the year for nonprofits wanting to be highlighted.  A simple idea has turned into something awesome that the community can benefit from”, said Fabulous Friends in Philanthropy founder Kim M. Braud.  Previous nonprofits that were highlighted at the mixer are Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Atlanta, C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (The Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully), Ushers New Look Foundation, youthSpark, Success 360 and Youth in Action.

The April mixer will highlight two agencies.  The first is T.R.I.P (Travel. Rebuild. Inspire. Progress.)   This non-profit organization helps to rebuild distressed communities of color across the country. Their mission is to "encourage travel and volunteerism and help rebuild low-income, predominantly African-American communities to inspire hope and make progress towards a brighter future."

The second agency is The Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Inc. (CBWW).  This  non-profit organization provides free and low-cost services to empower black women, and their families, toward physical, mental and economic wellness.

The Philanthropy Mixer is held every other month in Atlanta, Georgia. Each mixer will highlight local nonprofit organizations. The $10 suggested donation collected at the door will benefit the Fabulous Friends in Philanthropy Petals in Bloom Scholarship Fund for homeless girls. If you are aware of a homeless girl that would benefit from our scholarship, please visit our web site for additional information. Petals in Bloom Scholarship Application

Upcoming mixer dates for 2013 are May 8, July 10, September 25 and November 6. We also offer vendor opportunities.
