Ann Cramer Joins Turknett Leadership Character Awards Advisory Board

Turknett Leadership Group Celebrates New Addition

Turknett Leadership Group (TLG) proudly announces the addition of Ann Cramer as a member of the Turknett Leadership Character Award’s Advisory Board.  Cramer retired from a successful career at IBM Corporation and now serves as a Senior Consultant with Coxe Curry & Associates. She is an active member of the Atlanta community with a passion for helping children and youth.

“Ann’s commitment to service and active involvement in the community make her an exceptional addition to the Leadership Character Awards Advisory Board,” said Lyn Turknett, co-founder and president of Turknett Leadership Group.  Her husband and partner, Dr. Robert Turknett, added, “"Lyn and I are thrilled that Ann has agreed to serve as an Advisor. We met her many years ago through our mutual work with United Way, and there is no one whose community spirit we more admire. She has a wide network in this community and far beyond, and can help expand the reach of the Awards.”

Recognized as the U.S. Chamber’s first “Lifetime Achievement Award for Corporate Citizenship” recipient, Ann Cramer clearly exemplifies the Turknett Leadership Character Model™ in her commitment to others. “We couldn’t have chosen a person who better represents the Leadership Character Model. She is respectful to everyone, is the first one to volunteer when something needs to be done, and holds herself accountable to every commitment she makes,” said Susan Hitchcock, Executive Director of Women’s Initiatives and TLG Advisory Board Member. Ann is an outstanding addition to the team of advisors currently serving on the Leadership Character Awards Advisory Board, including:

Kent C. "Oz" Nelson, Retired Chairman & CEO of UPS
Dr. Betty Siegel, President Emeritus & Endowed Chair of Leadership, Ethics, and Character, Kennesaw State University
Tom Crawford, Crawford Corporate Coaching, former Chairman/CEO of Crawford & Company and 2007 Turknett Leadership Character Award winner
Conchita Robinson, President & CEO, C Robinson Associates, Inc.

Ann’s commitment to both education and the community at large is outstanding not only in her work as Director of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs for the Americas with IBM, but also through her marked involvement in numerous organization and non-profit boards. Her passion for working with children and youth is evident in the many committees she chairs, including: the Atlanta Partners for Education, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education (GPEE), the Carter Center Board of Councilors, Communities in Schools-Georgia, the Georgia Chamber’s Education Committee, and Voices for Georgia’s Children. Ann also represents the causes dear to her heart by serving on numerous boards, such as the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, the Metro Atlanta Chamber Education Committee, the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development, the Georgia Public Education Foundation, the Woodruff Arts Center, the Alliance Theatre Company, and Public Broadcasting Atlanta (PBA).  She is the Advisory Council Chair for the Alliance Theatre and Imagine It!
