Georgia Piedmont Technical College Introduces Advanced Manufacturing Lab

On Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., Georgia Piedmont Technical College will announce the roll-out of its new Advanced Manufacturing Lab. The event will be held at its Newton campus (Building A, 16200 Alcovy-Jersey Road, Covington, Georgia 30014).

The lab is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing manufacturing sector careers. Special invited guests include Technical College System of Georgia Deputy Commissioner, Matt Arthur; manufacturers, community and business leaders from Rockdale, Newton, Morgan and DeKalb counties; K-12 school superintendents and CEOs of the career academies; and elected and appointed officials.

The occasion will also serve as a “soft launch” of the Newton Campus’ 20th Anniversary, which is planned for October 2017. Boxed lunches will be served.
