TEDxCentennialParkWomen Launches Nov. 3 Event: Speakers, Mentors, Tickets & More

Friday, Nov. 3, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Goizueta Main Auditorium at The Coca-Cola Company

TEDxCentennialParkWomen announces a number of exciting details for its Friday, November 3 event in Atlanta, constructed on the theme, “Bridges,” beginning with the naming of three confirmed speakers, Jennifer Hidinger, James Dallas and Raj Sisodia:

Jennifer Hidinger – Co-Founder, Staplehouse Restaurant/The Giving Kitchen
In her role as co-founder of acclaimed Staplehouse Restaurant, Jennifer Hidinger orchestrates the development and execution of all aspects of the restaurant, while serving as co-founder of The Giving Kitchen Initiative (TGK), an Atlanta nonprofit organization that supports area restaurant workers facing an unanticipated crisis. TGK was inspired by the overwhelming expression of support from the restaurant industry when Hidinger’s late husband and business partner, chef Ryan Hidinger, was diagnosed with cancer in December 2012. She shares the challenges and lessons of her journey launching a business while dealing with a very personal loss.

James Dallas – Author, Executive in Residence at Emory University and retired senior executive
James Dallas is an accomplished senior executive who was born in a segregated hospital in Atlanta, raised by a single mother and went on to C-Suite positions with Georgia-Pacific and Medtronic. The majority of Dallas’ career has been focused on bridging the gap between strategy and execution, using IT for competitive advantage and leadership development. He shares how by building bridges and relationships he achieved success.

Raj Sisodia, PhD – FW Olin Distinguished Professor of Global Business at Babson College and Co-Founder of Conscious Capitalism Inc.
Raj Sisodia is co-author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller “Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business” (2013) and Wall Street Journal bestseller “Everybody Matters” (2015). He was named one of “Ten Outstanding Trailblazers of 2010” by Good Business International, and one of the “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior” by Trust Across America. He shares how business can be a source of healing and social good.

This is the fifth TEDxCentennialParkWomen event. A TEDxWomen event is a TEDx event on the topic of women and gender which features the simulcast of TEDWomen. “Our volunteer leaders, professional women themselves, are thrilled to deliver this stimulating program to the community,” noted event organizer Henna Inam. “Our goal is to curate a variety of speakers, performances and experiences to stimulate conversation, inspire innovation and networking opportunities for Atlanta’s professional women well beyond the event itself. Atlanta is booming as a city for business, science, medicine, and education and much more – we also want the city to be known as a place where women can thrive and advance in their professions.”
