Assistance League Atlanta Sponsors First Annual DRIVING "FORE"WARD Golf Tournament

DRIVING "FORE"WARD For Assistance League Golf Tournament, April 30, Bears Best Golf Course

How about getting to combine having a good time golfing and helping Assistance League Atlanta fulfill its mission of helping adults and children in need at the same time? Grab your golf clubs and a few friends and put April 30, 2018 on your calendar so you can be a part of this inaugural fundraising event for one of Atlanta's "best kept secret" charitable organizations.

Assistance League Atlanta is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization committed to helping children and adults in need rebuild their lives and become more self-sufficient. We assist a network of 250 community partners to provide new clothing, household goods, hygiene kits, comfort items and education aid to those affected by homelessness, abuse and poverty.  Because the needs of local communities continue to grow, so does the need for funding.

The first annual DRIVING “FORE”WARD Golf Tournament will take place at Bears Best Golf Club in Suwanee. This beautiful golf club is one of only two courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, “The Golden Bear”, that features signature replica holes from more than 200 course designs worldwide. The club has been highly rated by both Golf Advisor and the PGA.

Participants are guaranteed entry with the first 144 pre-paid registrations. Registration forms are available on the Assistance League website, www.assistanceleagueatl.org, under the “Events” tab. The cost per player is $125 and deadline for registration is March 30, 2018.

The festivities will start at 8:00 a.m. to allow time for hitting some range balls and warming up. Official shotgun start time will be 9:45 a.m. There will be a breakfast snack and a full BBQ lunch served, along with raffle prizes and a silent auction after the tournament. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, closest to the pin, longest drive and long putt contest.

If it is your lucky day and you have a hole-in-one, Ed Voyles has generously pledged a free Acura.

Not a golfer? You still can help Assistance League help others by becoming a sponsor to showcase your business. Sponsorship opportunities are available for as low as $300 and up. For full details, check out our website www.assistanceleagueatl.org or e-mail us at algolf6264@bellsouth.net.
