Atlanta Technical College Hosting its 9th Annual Mentor Walk

Atlanta Technical College will host its 9th Annual Mentor Walk on Friday, March 16th.
8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Atlanta Technical College Campus
1560 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA

Now in its ninth year, the walk gives elementary, middle, and high school students an opportunity to explore a college campus and ask questions about the college experience. The day includes registration and breakfast, the walk, and sessions on storytelling and crafts, financial literacy, alliance leadership, and resumes for internships. 

The age-specific skill building sessions and vocational modules give students’ hands-on understanding of possible future careers. Sessions designed for high school and middle school students cover career exploration and financial literacy while elementary school students will explore careers through sessions on storytelling and crafts.

Adults attending the Mentor Walk will participate in panels with community leaders on the topic of education.

The day ends with an Activity Fair including vendor and sponsor tables, backpack distribution, healthy living tips, T-shirt distribution, and more.
