Experience Amazing Acrobats, a Prehistoric Aquarium and Epic Adventure at ArtsBridge!

ArtsBridge invites you to share the joy and enrichment of arts education with your students and children when you book Field Trips, Master Classes and Family Programs. With subjects ranging from dance, science and history, to visual arts and theatre, there is something for everyone. These high-quality, cultural and educational performances and workshops are presented by nationally and internationally renowned dancers, singers and artists, and are geared towards various grade levels from K-12. ArtsBridge’s programs take place at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339.

“We are delighted to present imaginative and engaging educational arts programming for students of all ages,” states Sarah Clay Lindvall, Director of Arts Education and Community Outreach at ArtsBridge Foundation. “Our Field Trips are tied to curriculum and we welcome public school and private school groups as well as homeschoolers. Our Family Programs are a great way to introduce younger children to the joy of live performances and to learn about theatre etiquette. And Master Classes provide opportunities for professional development in a variety of disciplines.”

Acrobats of Hebei China (Field Trip) - January 24 at 11 am. This is a “must see” production that combines Chinese traditions, incredible acrobatics, stunning costumes, Chinese props, and a beautiful music soundtrack. Be amazed at Hoop Diving featuring flips, jumps and diving through multiple hoops, and the dramatic performance of a female contortionist who balances crystal glass while performing her act. Trained from childhood, these performers are marvels of what the human mind and body can accomplish. Appropriate for grades 7-12.

Musical Theatre Vocal Technique in the style of Waitress (Master Class) - February 9 at 10 am. Students will be able to take their dance and performance skills to new heights in this Broadway Connection Master Class!  Join us for an exciting and inspiring Musical Theatre Vocal Technique class taught by a cast member of the touring production of Waitress.  The class includes a warm-up and will end with an informative “Behind-the-Scenes” Q & A where students can ask about auditions, Broadway, and the excitement of performing every night! Appropriate for grades 6-12.

Beauty and the Beast – Presented by Atlanta Ballet 2 (Field Trip) - February 20 at 11 am. Fall in love with this celebrated fairy tale all over again with a one-hour production designed for our younger audience members, children ages 12 and under. They will be mesmerized by this enchanting tale of adventure, unlikely friendships, and the power of true love. Appropriate for grades K-6.

Musical Theatre Vocal Technique in the style of Les Miserables (Master Class) - March 2 at 10 am. Join us for an exciting Broadway Connection Master Class in Musical Theatre Vocal Technique taught by a cast member of the touring production of Les Miserables.  The class starts with a warm-up and ends with an informative “Behind-the-Scenes” Q & A where students are encouraged to ask about auditions, Broadway, and the excitement of performing every night! Appropriate for grades 6-12.

Dr. Kaboom! And The Wheel of Science (Field Trip) - March 11 at 10:15 am and Noon. Doktor Kaboom is having trouble picking his favorite science demonstrations, so he’s bringing all of them!  But there are too many to do them all. The solution: The Wheel of Science! Doktor Kaboom built a big spinning wheel and labeled it with everything from optical illusions to chemical reactions! A dozen fantastic routines are ready to go. Wherever the wheel stops, that’s next! Will he turn a water bottle into a rocket or catapult bananas across the stage? Electrocute a pickle or create artificial gravity? No two shows are the same. Appropriate for grades 4-8

Synergy Presented by Kennesaw State University’s College of the Arts (Field Trip) - March 13 at 11 am. Experience a truly comprehensive artistic fusion of dance, music, theatre, and art. Synergy will feature the KSU Dance Company, Orchestra, Musical Theatre Ensemble, Choir, and Visual Arts collaborating to give school students a unique arts experience. Packed with energy, creativity and virtuosity, this is a FREE event that will provide a cross-disciplinary understanding of the arts. Appropriate for grades 6-12.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Field Trip) - March 28 at 10:15 am and Noon. This beloved story by author/illustrator Eric Carle has delighted generations of readers since it was first published in 1969, selling more than 43 million copies worldwide. Eric’s books captivated readers with his iconic colorful hand-painted collage illustrations and distinctively simple stories, introducing generations of children to a bigger, brighter world – and to their first experience of reading. The timeless classic has made its way off the page and onto the stage. Appropriate for grades PreK-2.

Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium (Field Trip) - April 3 at 10:15 am and Noon. This show invites children to step into the action of the performance: at each show performers will invite a small number of carefully selected young divers to join them on their quest to the bottom of the ocean, to ‘swim’ with an amazing array of aquatic creatures from bygone eras. Connecting young audiences to the real science of palaeontology, Erth’s prehistoric creatures are unmistakably ‘alive’ and mostly friendly, in this fun, educational and unique performance. Appropriate for grades K-5.

Musical Theatre Performance Technique in the style of Dear Evan Hansen (Master Class) – April 27 & 28 at 10 am. Join us for an exciting and inspiring Broadway Connection Master Class in Musical Theatre Performance Technique taught by a cast member of the touring production of Dear Evan Hansen.  The class includes a warm-up, combinations in the show’s style of choreography, and will end with an informative “Behind-the-Scenes” Q & A where students are encouraged to ask about auditions, Broadway, and the excitement of performing every night! Appropriate for grades 6-12.

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Family Program) – June 7 at 8 pm, June 8 at 2 pm and 8 pm, June 9 at 1 pm. This show is “worthy of the gods!” (Time Out New York). The Greek gods are real, and they’re ruining Percy Jackson’s life. As a son of Poseidon, Percy has newly discovered powers he can’t control, monsters on his trail, and he’s on an epic quest to find Zeus’s lightning bolt to prevent a war between the gods. Normal is a myth when you’re a demigod. This “winning adaptation” (The Hollywood Reporter) of the best-selling Disney-Hyperion novel by Rick Riordan is “electrifying!” (Newsday). Appropriate for all ages.

Musical Theatre Performance Technique in the style of Come From Away (Master Class) – June 29 at 10 am. Join us for an exciting Broadway Connection Master Class in Musical Theatre Performance Technique taught by a cast member of the touring production of Come From Away.  The class includes a warm-up, combinations in the show’s style of choreography, and will end with an informative “Behind-the-Scenes” Q & A where students are encouraged to ask about auditions, Broadway, and the excitement of performing every night! Appropriate for grades 6-12.

Musical Theatre Dance in the style of Cats (Master Class) – August 10 at 10 am. Broadway Connection is bringing Broadway to you!  Students will have an amazing experience taking their dance and performance skills to new heights. Join us for an inspiring Musical Theatre Dance class taught by a cast member of the touring production of Cats.  The class includes a warm-up, combinations in the show’s style of choreography, and will end with an informative “Behind-the-Scenes” Q & A where students are encouraged to ask about auditions, Broadway, and the excitement of performing every night! Appropriate for grades 6-12.
