18th Annual Pink Affair Benefits Unique Atlanta-Based Breast Cancer Nonprofit

Event to Take Place Saturday, March 23, at Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead from 6-11 p.m.

The 18th Annual Pink Affair fundraising event, benefiting the unique nonprofit TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, will take place from 6-11 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, 3300 Peachtree Rd.  The event will include a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, live music from the Emerald Empire Band and dancing and complimentary beer and wine.

Highlights from the live auction include a one-week stay for four in a Tuscan Villa in Manciano, Italy, two tickets to the hit TV show "America's Got Talent" for a live show or live results show this fall, and a once in a lifetime experience to train with the incredible K9s of the police department in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Veteran charity event auctioneer Dean Crownover returns to oversee the live and silent auctions, while WGST 640-AM mid-day personality Dana Barrett will be the emcee for the third consecutive year.  11 Alive general assignment reporter Kaitlyn Ross will be interviewing attendees on the red carpet at the start of the night, marking a first in the event’s history as she will be asking guests about their personal ties to breast cancer in conjunction with TurningPoint’s social media campaign #MakeItPersonal.

“We are thrilled to have the Pink Affair back in Buckhead at such a top-notch venue like the Grand Hyatt,” said Rebecca Cowens-Alvarado, executive director of TurningPoint.  “We look forward to building on the foundation from a year ago and experience the best Pink Affair ever both in terms of attendance and dollars raised.
