From rest to roadways, sci-fi to swimming and, anger to athleticism, 21 presenters will share ideas that shed new light on the mundane, challenge the conventional and spark conversation around some of the most pressing issues affecting humanity. And, as always, the show will introduce emerging Atlanta talent and a few surprises.

9:55am - 5:15pm
Friday, March 15

TEDxAtlanta encourages Atlantans to host viewing parties and watch the webcast with friends and colleagues. The team will be curating viewing party photos uploaded to the TEDxAtlanta Facebook page and featuring them at 2:30pm on stage.

"For the last decade, TEDx groups in Atlanta have been bringing together thinkers, doers and story-teller to share ideas that change the way we consider our present and the future of humanity," says Jacqui Chew, former TEDxPeachtree licensee and current TEDxAtlanta licensee. "We are beyond excited to combine the resources of TEDxPeachtree and TEDxAtlanta to bring the city the biggest immersive TEDx experience yet," she added.

About TEDxAtlanta
The new TEDxAtlanta, a merger of TEDxPeachtree and TEDxAtlanta in 2018, is organized under the auspices of Ideas into Action, a Georgia-registered nonprofit with the mission to amplify local ideas globally and global ideas locally to propel communities to action. The day-long, annual TED-like conference and other interactive experiences throughout the year are planned by a team of volunteers led by former TEDxPeachtree licensee Jacqui Chew. The new TEDxAtlanta is independently organized under license from TED and multiple speakers have been featured on TED.com. For more information, visit www.TEDxAtlanta.com

About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TED
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks delivered by today's leading thinkers and doers. Many of these talks are given at TED’s annual gathering in Vancouver, Canada, TEDWomen and TEDGlobal conferences, and thousands of independently organized TEDx events around the world, then made available, free, on TED.com and other channels.

TED's open and free initiatives for spreading ideas include TED.com, where new TED Talk videos are posted daily; TEDx, which provides licenses to thousands of individuals and groups who host local, self-organized TED-style events around the world; the TED Fellows program, which selects innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities; and the educational initiative TED-Ed.
